The Abode of Kings – is perhaps the best known state in India. Its main towns are Jaipur, the state capital
Udaipur with its famous lake and city palaces; Jodhpur; Jaisalmer and Bikaner in the Great Thar desert. Rajasthan is made up of dozens of princely states which were combined in 1947 and the state’s borders were finalised in 1956. It is south west of Delhi, bordering with Pakistan to the west. As its name suggests, Rajasthan is a state of enchanting palaces, both grandiose and intimate and hill forts that take your breath away.
There is a wide variety of landscape within the state – desert and sand dunes in the west around Jaisalmer and Bikaner; lakes; rivers; forest; hills and dramatic cliffs; even the beautiful rose fields around Pushkar and the great salt lake at Sambhar.
We work with professional, reliable and above all local location managers and line producers. With them, we manage to gain access to places that are normally off limits. Private palaces, remote hill forts, deserted villages and brightly coloured villages that are full of life. Our top places to shoot are Jaipur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur.
